Mayfaire 2010
Come one and all to the fair Barony of Glymm Mere to witness competitions in Archery, Rapier and Heavy Fighting! We will have prize tournaments in each field on Saturday. On Sunday, the best of each will compete for glory and position in the Baronial Court as Champions. Greetings! Last year, we had a great turn out with 17 different entrants in the brewing contest at Mayfaire, so it seems only natural to have one this year as well. Entrants will be judged on: presentation: bottle/container; For example, if a person enters a sparkling blackberry mead, it will not be judged against other meads that were entered; it will be judged on if it tastes like blackberry mead, if it's actually fizzy (since it stated it was sparkling), it's clarity, the presentation (is it in a nice glass/earthenware bottle or a plastic modern bottle) and if the person entered any documentation on the mead (where/when is the recipe from, where did they get the blackberries/honey etc). Drop your brews off at the A&S pavilion by 3pm Saturday, winners will be announce at Saturday evening court. Thank you!
